Dr. Ruch opened North Oakland Chiropractic Clinic in 1987. For over 36 years, he has dedicated his career to bringing chiropractic care to those who are in need of extra gentle treatment. He has developed methods to carefully adjust joints with small repetitive motions. He can safely treat people with prior back surgery, implants, joint replacements, osteoporosis, hypermobility conditions, and people who are fearful of traditional chiropractic care. In addition, the methods he has developed to realign the ribs are especially helpful for alleviating anxiety and insomnia. He is working to document the connection between hypermobility, insomnia, anxiety and the over-stimulation of the sympathetic nervous system.
The same year he went into practice, he began teaching at Life Chiropractic College West in Hayward, California (he retired from teaching in 2023). Dr. Ruch has spoken at several chiropractic conferences, taught seminars for members of the healthcare community, and has authored numerous scientific articles, written chapters for and published numerous photographs in several textbooks. Through Life Chiropractic College West, he published the 2nd edition textbook, Atlas of Common Subluxations of the Human Spine and Pelvis, which is now a part of his curriculum and considered a standard reference throughout the chiropractic community. He published a second textbook, Advanced Adjusting Techniques, in addition to two self-help books on adjusting: The Level Pelvis Method: For Pregnancy & Birthing Ease and Got Knee Pain? Where’s Your Tibia?. He is now working to republish his Textbooks — both in digital & paperback formats, via his new publishing company Postura Press.
Dr. Bridget is inspired by her patients who trust her as a partner in their health. She combines her deep knowledge of the neuro-musculoskeletal system and wholefood nutrition to help people recover from injuries, manage hypermobility disorders and other chronic pain syndromes, and navigate lifestyle changes that support their dynamic vitality. Bridget holds a Certificate in Plant-based Nutrition from Cornell University, practices the Level Pelvis and Activator Methods, and is AIMLA certified in laser therapy. She is motivated by seeing positive changes from gentle adjustment techniques that help people get back to feeling like themselves again.
Prior to becoming a chiropractor, Bridget was an award-winning pastry chef in San Francisco. During her twenty years working in hospitality she embraced chiropractic care to help with repetitive stress injuries and to keep up with the demanding pace of the kitchen.
Wanting to share these amazing benefits, Bridget earned her doctorate with honors from Life West Chiropractic College. Dr. Bridget is a lifelong learner interested in advanced studies in nutrition science, women’s health, and elder care. In her free time she enjoys cooking, gardening, and spending time with her partner Natalie and Chihuahua Pedro. She loves connecting with her community in the beautiful Bay Area.
Dr. Dom’s philosophy on chiropractic care centers on the fundamental belief that spinal alignment is not just an isolated condition but a cornerstone of overall health and well-being. She has an innate passion for understanding the intricacies of the body and obtained her doctorate degree from Life Chiropractic College West, as well as a Bachelor’s of Science in Integrated Health Science with a minor in Ayurveda Wellness from Maharishi International University. This academic background laid the foundation for her holistic approach to healthcare, instilling in her a deep-seated belief that health and wellness are intricately tied to the understanding of the mind-body connection.
In 2012, Dr. Dom began her professional journey with a massage certification, later working at an Ayurvedic Wellness Center. There, she gained invaluable experience in detoxification, rejuvenation treatments, and Craniosacral therapy. This multidisciplinary background has deeply influenced her chiropractic practice today.
Certified in the Webster Technique, a protocol used to align the pelvis and surrounding soft tissue structures during pregnancy, Dr. Dom is committed to enhancing women’s health. She’s also under the mentorship of Dr. Ruch, learning the Level Pelvis Method, a technique developed with the intention of helping pregnant women experience safer and more comfortable birthing, aiding patients both during pregnancy and active labor. The Level Pelvis Method can be applied to anyone experiencing pelvic/hip/low back pain. She also has advanced education on extremity adjusting and soft tissue modalities.
Outside the office, Dr. Dom often finds herself in dance studios or exploring some kind of creative art. She has an avid love for nature, exploring new international cuisines and diving into her favorite meditation practices.
