Care for Advanced Arthritis, Joint/Hip/Spinal Implants, Hour 1 of 13, Introduction and General Concepts

This hour is one of thirteen in this course provided by Dr. William Ruch. The course will teach doctors advanced concepts and techniques used by leading practitioners to treat patients with arthritis and other chronic health conditions. It will offer the practitioner much-needed insight into different arthritic conditions and several health considerations relating to spinal implants, joint replacements, and arthritis. It will provide a foundation of understanding that will allow them to make better decisions regarding the diagnosis and treatment of patients with advanced arthritis. 

Learning Objectives

The practitioner will be able to consider and apply the most advanced and proven chiropractic techniques for diagnosing and treating patients with a variety of health considerations related to arthritis, joint replacements, and implants. In addition, practitioners will be able to apply what they learn to improve the safety and quality of service they provide to their patients.

This 8 week seminar series takes a deep dive into all the topics in Dr. Ruch?s Advanced Adjusting Techniques book and includes a copy of the book! A combination of lecture/review plus hands-on practice and demonstration will equip you to utilize Dr. Ruch?s powerful techniques right away. 

3 Practicing DCs will be facilitating and we?re limiting participants to 12 to ensure you have the support you need to learn these techniques. If you?ve been to one of Dr. Ruch’s weekend seminars, you know it can be a lot of information in a small amount of time. This seminar is going to dive deeper and take the time to cover all the details. It will be valuable to any level of student or practicing DC. 

Weekly outline:

Week 1 – Pelvis

Week 2 – Rib Cage & Thoracic Spine

Week 3 – C-Spine, TMJ

Week 4 – Shoulder, arm (with rib cage review)

Week 5 – Pelvis Review & Lumbar Spine

Week 6 – Knee, leg, foot, ankle

Week 7 – TBI, Stroke, Spinal Cord Injury

Week 8 – Putting it all together – Example history taking, analysis, and treatment

Each week we will 

  • Thoroughly review the relevant anatomy
  • Lead you through detailed palpation exercises
  • Explain how the relevant structures subluxate and what symptoms might be present
  • Train you on how to evaluate and adjust the subluxation
  • Discuss related conditions and treatment options
